Safety First
Safety standards you can check before you sign up
Before a coach ever meets your child, they clear a background check, complete safety training and agree to the same site rules everywhere we work.
Our standards
What every site runs on
These are not aspirations. They are the conditions a Trailblaze site has to meet to open on day one.
Background checks on every adult
Every coach, site lead and office staff member clears a nationwide criminal background check and sex-offender registry search before their first day, and is re-screened annually.
CPR, AED and First Aid certified
Each site runs with at least one currently certified lead on the floor. First aid kits, emergency action plans and site maps travel with every program.
Mandated reporter training
All staff complete mandated reporter and child abuse prevention training, plus concussion recognition training, before working with kids.
Two-adult rule
No coach is ever alone one-on-one with a child. Restroom, injury and pickup procedures all require a second adult present or in line of sight.
Verified pickup only
Children are released only to the parent or the authorized pickup adults named on the registration form, with photo ID checked at the first pickup.
Health information on the field
Allergies, medical conditions and medication instructions from your registration travel with the roster so the coach in front of your child already knows.
